    About me
Hello, my name is Stephen Potter and thank you for taking the time to visit my gallery. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I have been interested in transport since my late teens and over the years I have taken many photographes although many of the earlier ones are of very poor quality. Most of the pictures on here are recent although there are some scans of earlier work. As I live in Derby, a large proportion of the pictures here were taken in the Derbyshire Peak District. An area that I am very fond of.

As well as road transport my interests include Land Rovers, railways and natural history and am a passionate landscape photographer. During 2008 I achieved a CPAGB which is Credit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. During my 20's and 30's I was also a caver and diver. I am currently membership secretary of the Fire Brigade Society and a committee member of the Derby Photographic Society.

I work in the railway industry in a train maintenence depot near Burton on Trent. As it involves shift work, I am able to get out with a camera during the week when most trucks are working.

If you see me at the side of the road, give me a wave.
